**LAKE BUENA VISTA, FL -** Disney Cruise Line is charting a course for massive expansion, announcing plans to add seven new ships to its fleet over the next six years. This ambitious growth will bring the total number of Disney vessels to thirteen by 2031, more than doubling its current capacity.
Currently, Disney’s fleet consists of six ships: the Disney Magic, Disney Wonder, Disney Dream, Disney Fantasy, Disney Wish, and Disney Treasure. The new ships, set to debut between 2025 and 2031, promise innovative experiences and themed adventures.
The first of these, a Wish Class ship whose official name is yet to be announced, is set to feature a “heroes and villains” theme. It will include returning favorites like the Haunted Mansion Parlor and the Aqua Mouse, alongside new attractions like the Doctor Strange-themed Sanctum lounge, DeVil’s piano bar, and a “Lion King” dinner show. The ship will also premiere a new “Hercules” musical, complete with innovative puppetry and a previously unreleased song from the original movie.
Next is the Disney Adventure, divided into seven themed zones including a Town Square, Disney Imagination Garden, Marvel Landing, Toy Story Place, Wayfinder Bay, San Fransokyo Street, and Disney Discovery Reef. It will also feature a “WALL-E” musical and the Ironcycle Test Run, the longest roller coaster at sea. This ship, which was partially completed by another cruise line, will feature unique interior garden-view rooms with verandahs overlooking the Disney Imagination Garden.
The ninth Disney Cruise Line vessel, another Wish Class ship, will be owned and operated by the Oriental Land Company (OLC), the owners of Tokyo Disney Resort. Set to debut after 2026, the ship is rumored to be similar to the Disney Wish. Disney held a steel-cutting ceremony for the ship on August 8, 2025.
Following the fourth Wish Class ship, Disney Cruise Line plans to add four smaller ships to its fleet, though details and timelines for these vessels remain under wraps.
This massive expansion signals Disney’s commitment to the cruise industry, with the new ships poised to deliver immersive storytelling and innovative experiences for families and Disney enthusiasts.
