**Visakhapatnam, October 3, 2025:** The Andhra Pradesh Eastern Power Distribution Company Limited (APEPDCL) is working tirelessly to restore power to thousands of residents across multiple districts after a depression brought heavy rains and strong winds to the region on October 2nd.

The storm caused widespread damage to power infrastructure, including fallen poles, snapped wires, and damaged transformers. APEPDCL Chairman and Managing Director (CMD) Prithvitej Imadi reported the estimated damage at ₹1.78 crore across Visakhapatnam, Vizianagaram, Srikakulam, Parvathipuram Manyam, and ASR Paderu districts.
