Kumaraswamy, has issued an urgent appeal to the Karnataka state government to provide immediate assistance to residents of the Kalyana Karnataka region, which has been ravaged by severe floods. The crisis has been exacerbated by heavy rainfall and the release of water from the Ujani and Neera reservoirs in neighboring Maharashtra.
Several districts, including Kalaburagi, Yadgir, Vijayapura, Bidar, and Raichur, are experiencing widespread flooding, leaving numerous low-lying villages, including Bennethora, particularly vulnerable.
