**Vikings Set to Unleash Jordan Addison in Dublin After Suspension**

**EAGAN, MN -** The Minnesota Vikings are poised to get a major boost to their offense as receiver Jordan Addison returns from suspension to face the Pittsburgh Steelers in Dublin this Sunday. Head Coach Kevin O’Connell expressed his excitement about Addison’s return, highlighting the receiver’s impressive finish to the 2024 season where he racked up 42 receptions for 577 yards and seven touchdowns over the final eight games.

Addison, entering his third year, has been working with newly-acquired quarterback Carson Wentz, who will be filling in for injured starter J.J. McCarthy. Despite the quarterback change, Addison remains confident, stating, “I feel like it’s my job to go out there and make the quarterback look good, no matter who it is… it doesn’t matter who’s back there – just throw it up.”

O’Connell praised Addison’s unique route-running abilities and his knack for getting open, noting his versatility within the offense. “He can win early. He can win late. And then he’s proven time and time again just how elite a catcher of the football he is,” O’Connell said. “His role is one that he’s kind of really made for himself over his time here… he could be in any position in our formation.”

Addison spent his suspension focusing on his physical and mental preparation, treating the time as a mini-offseason to ensure he’s ready to contribute immediately. He said he leaned on loved ones and took mental reps.

Offensive Coordinator Wes Phillips echoed O’Connell’s enthusiasm, adding that Addison looked like a “man on a mission” in training camp. With Addison’s return, the Vikings believe they have four starting-caliber receivers, creating opportunities to keep them fresh and utilize their unique skill sets.

Addison himself is eager to get back on the field. “That first reception of Year 3 will be great, as well. That’s all I’m thinking [about]. I’m ready,” he said.

The Vikings face the Steelers this Sunday at 8:30 a.m. (CT) in Dublin.
