**Madurai, India – September 26, 2025** – The Tamil Nadu Technology (iTNT) Hub has expanded its reach with the inauguration of its Madurai Regional Hub at the Anna University Regional Campus today. The launch, spearheaded by Minister for Information Technology and Digital Services PTR Palanivel Thiaga Rajan, marks a significant step in the state government’s efforts to democratize and strengthen the Deep and Emerging Tech innovation ecosystem beyond Chennai.

Minister Rajan emphasized the growing demand for ELCOT Special Economic Zone in Madurai and the government’s commitment to supporting innovation, with a particular focus on encouraging women’s participation in the tech sector.

Vanitha Venugopal, CEO of iTNT Hub, detailed the purpose of the expansion, while K. Hari Thiagarajan, Chairman of Thiagarajar College of Engineering, highlighted the opportunities the Hub will provide for local talent. Anna University Regional Campus Dean, K. Linga Durai, expressed confidence that the iTNT Hub will be instrumental in fostering Deep and Emerging Tech startups from the region.

The inauguration was followed by the launch of the inaugural Madurai PATHFINDER incubation cohort. The Hub will offer co-working spaces, infrastructure, and access to iTNT Hub programs and technology transfer initiatives to researchers, startups, academia, industry, and other stakeholders. In addition, the iTNT Hub will open a satellite office at Thiagarajar College of Engineering, Madurai, marking the department’s first such office in the state.
