**Punjab CM Announces ‘Rangla Punjab’ Fund for Flood Relief, Criticizes Modi on Domestic and Foreign Policy**

Chandigarh – September 27, 2025 – Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann announced the establishment of the ‘Rangla Punjab’ fund during a special session of the Punjab Assembly yesterday, aimed at accelerating relief and rehabilitation efforts for flood victims in the state. Mann emphasized that all contributions would be used judiciously for the welfare of those affected, addressing limitations in the existing Chief Minister’s Relief Fund that prevented CSR contributions and capped MP donations.

“The Rangla Punjab fund has already received a significant response from various segments of society,” Mann stated, responding to concerns raised by opposition leader Partap Singh Bajwa regarding transparency. The Chief Minister confirmed the fund is subject to RTI and that he serves as its chairman.

Beyond state matters, Mann launched a broadside against Prime Minister Narendra Modi, accusing him of neglecting domestic issues and pursuing a fruitless foreign policy. “Modi is least bothered about the problems faced by citizens and is instead busy visiting foreign countries,” Mann alleged, calling this indifference “a grave insult.”

Mann further criticized the BJP’s push for “one nation, one election,” highlighting potential voter disenfranchisement issues. He echoed concerns about “vote chori,” claiming the government is creating a “digital janta” and even cited the alleged deletion of Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Singh’s wife’s vote. “We must address these issues; only then can democracy be preserved,” he asserted, expressing support for Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on the matter.

Addressing India’s international relations, Mann questioned the effectiveness of current foreign policy, asking, “Which country supported us during Operation Sindoor? So, what is our prime minister doing, travelling the globe?”

He also highlighted growing anti-immigration sentiment and recent deportations in Western countries, citing the case of a 73-year-old Sikh woman deported from the U.S. “Yesterday, a 73-year-old ‘dadi’ was among 172 deported. Is anybody speaking?” he questioned, criticizing Modi’s relationship with former U.S. President Donald Trump for increased tariffs and perceived support for Pakistan.
