**Thiruvananthapuram, India – September 25, 2025** – The Kerala government has announced the recipients of the prestigious Vayosevana Awards for 2025, celebrating individuals and organizations dedicated to improving the lives of senior citizens. The awards, presented by the Social Justice department, recognize outstanding contributions across various sectors, from healthcare to arts and culture.

This year’s lifetime achievement awards will be bestowed upon acclaimed actress Sheela and renowned singer P.K. Medini, both icons of the Indian entertainment industry. Each will receive a purse of ₹1 lakh, a citation, and a memento in recognition of their enduring impact.

Kathaprasangam artist Thrikkulam Krishnankutty and Poothamkali artist Ambalapadikkal Narayanan have been selected for the award in the art-literature-culture sector. Iravi Gopalakrishnan and V. Vasu will be awarded in the sports category.
