**Tokyo, Japan** – The final night of the World Athletics Championships in Tokyo delivered a rollercoaster of emotions, highlighted by stunning performances and unexpected results.
The women’s 800m saw Kenya’s Odira claim a surprise victory, surging past Great Britain’s Keely Hodgkinson in the final stretch. Hodgkinson, the pre-race favorite, settled for bronze after leading for much of the race. Her compatriot, Georgia Hunter Bell, secured the silver medal, edging out Hodgkinson at the line.
