**Parcells Reflects on Patriots Exit at Hall of Fame Induction, Edelman Joins Ranks**

FOXBOROUGH, MA – Bill Parcells, the coach who revitalized the New England Patriots in the 1990s, was inducted into the team’s Hall of Fame on Saturday, expressing a tinge of regret about his contentious departure in 1997. Addressing a crowd gathered on a sun-drenched day, Parcells, now 84, remarked, “We sometimes reflect on things, and you wish you would have done things a little differently. I come back here and I see this, I wish I would have done things a little differently.”

Parcells, who coached the Patriots from 1993-1996, led the team to Super Bowl XXXI before leaving to coach the rival New York Jets. His relationship with owner Robert Kraft, who purchased the team in 1994, was famously strained. However, Kraft emphasized the evolved nature of their relationship, stating, “Over the years, we’ve both mellowed. We’ve shared laughs, swapped stories and reflected on the foundation we built together.” Kraft further thanked Parcells for his contributions, including the “fire,” “fight,” and “foundation” he brought to the organization.

Parcells, a 2013 Pro Football Hall of Fame inductee, credited former executives Bucko Kilroy and Mike Holovak for their profound influence on his player evaluation skills, highlighting their pivotal roles in his coaching development.

Joining Parcells in the induction ceremony was three-time Super Bowl champion Julian Edelman. Team President Jonathan Kraft lauded Edelman’s clutch performances and the grit that defined his 12-year career with the Patriots, calling him “chaos in cleats.” Edelman, a seventh-round draft pick, described his enshrinement as “surreal” and expressed immense gratitude for the team, stating, “To stand here now, knowing I’m forever part of this organization’s history, is the ultimate honor.”
