**Fox One Streaming Service Launches, Targeting Live Sports and News**

**NEW YORK, NY – August 22, 2025** – Fox Corporation officially entered the streaming arena yesterday with the launch of Fox One, its first direct-to-consumer streaming app. The platform aims to carve out a niche by focusing on live sports and news programming, mirroring a similar move by ESPN, which also launched its own streaming service on the same day.

For $20 a month, subscribers gain access to a wide range of Fox’s channels, including Fox News Channel, Fox Nation, Fox Sports, B1G, FS1, FS2, local Fox stations, and the Fox Network. Beyond live TV, news, and sports, Fox One offers on-demand programming and popular Fox shows like *The Simpsons* and *Hell’s Kitchen*.

While Fox One aims to blend the traditional cable experience with the flexibility of on-demand streaming, limitations exist. However, Fox is betting on its core audience of news and sports enthusiasts, providing a targeted platform for cord-cutters.

Following the dissolution of the Venu sports streaming venture with ESPN and Warner Bros. Discovery, Fox pivoted to Fox One, emphasizing live content in its August launch.

Subscription options include a basic plan for $20 per month ($200 annually) featuring a mix of live sports, news, and entertainment, and a $25 per month Fox One-Fox Nation tier offering full access to Fox News and Fox Nation. Both plans include a seven-day free trial and unlimited DVR. Current cable and satellite TV subscribers receive Fox One at no extra cost.

Fox One is set to be bundled with Disney’s ESPN next month, with plans for further bundling options in the future.

Initial reviews of the app highlight a standard user experience, with navigation varying slightly across devices. Key features include live programming options, personalized content rows, and a multiview function for watching multiple live programs simultaneously, currently available on select devices.

While the DVR functionality is praised, the accessibility settings are criticized for being inconsistent across devices. The on-demand library, while not extensive, includes recent seasons of popular Fox shows.

Fox One’s live guide allows users to browse programming up to 14 days in advance.

While Fox One is packed with content, particularly for sports fans and Fox News enthusiasts, its $20 price point may be difficult to justify for those seeking a broader range of programming, given the competitive streaming landscape. However, the upcoming bundle with ESPN may shift its value proposition.
