**YSRCP Leader Demands CBI Probe into TTD ‘Parakamani Scam’, Vows Drastic Action if Accusations Proven**

TIRUPATI, September 21, 2025 – Bhumana Karunakar Reddy, a prominent leader from the YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) and former Chairman of the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD), has escalated his challenge to the ruling NDA Alliance government, calling for a CBI investigation into the alleged ‘Parakamani scam’ that occurred at the TTD two years prior.

Reddy’s demand comes amidst the release of CCTV footage by two TTD Trust Board members, appointed by the NDA Alliance government, which they claim exposes the scam. In response, Reddy has vehemently denied any involvement and pledged to publicly “chop his head off” at the foot of Tirumala hills if the ruling alliance can substantiate their accusations. Conversely, he demands a public apology if they fail to prove his guilt.

During a press conference held today, Reddy directly implicated Education Minister Nara Lokesh and TTD Chairman B.R. Naidu, accusing them of unjustly implicating him in the scandal. He pointed out that the accused, C. Ravi Kumar, was apprehended stealing currency notes on April 29, 2023, at a time when Reddy was not the Trust Board chairman.

“The accused has confessed to stealing currency notes for the past 20 years, a period that includes the TDP government under Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu. Why did his government fail to uncover this scam during their tenure?” Reddy questioned.

Reddy further refuted claims that the YSRCP government’s Trust Board compromised with the accused, stating that they caught the accused red-handed. He detailed that the family of the accused, expressing remorse, voluntarily offered to register properties worth ₹14 crore in the name of the TTD, a decision approved by the Board. “Is there any precedent for recovering stolen property in the TTD’s history? Instead of commending our action, the government is resorting to mudslinging,” he lamented.

Reddy has challenged the government to entrust the case to the CBI, rather than the state-controlled CB-CID, to ensure a fair and thorough investigation, with the goal of uncovering all aspects of the case.
