**Ranchi Dussehra Celebrates Unity with Muslim Artisans Crafting Effigies**

**RANCHI, ISTRANCHI – September 20, 2025** – The annual Dussehra festival at Morabadi Ground in Ranchi is shaping up to be a powerful demonstration of social unity, with Muslim artisans at the heart of the celebrations. For generations, these skilled craftsmen have been constructing the towering effigies of Ravana, Meghnath, and Kumbhakaran, continuing a tradition that transcends religious boundaries.

“For us, this festival is not just for Hindus,” stated one of the artisans. “We all see it together as a celebration of Indian culture. Our ancestors did the same, and today we are carrying forward that tradition.”

The 70-foot-tall effigies promise a spectacular sight this year, with the venue meticulously prepared to accommodate their size. The organizing committee has allocated approximately 2 million rupees to ensure a memorable event, featuring Paro Fireworks by artists from Mumbai and Kolkata, traditional dances from Uttar Pradesh, and tableaus of Hanumanji.

“Ravana Dahan is not only a symbol of the victory of good over evil, but also an opportunity to revive cultural heritage,” said the event’s chairman. “The inclusion of Muslim artisans is a powerful statement that festivals belong to everyone, regardless of religion. Our aim is to spread the message of love and harmony in society.”

Organizers and artisans alike emphasized that the festival’s true meaning is realized through inclusive participation. “We never have the thought that this is a Hindu festival, we should not work in it,” added an artisan. “We are all Indians, and this is our greatest identity.”

The district administration has implemented extensive security and traffic management measures to ensure a safe event. The organizing committee has extended an invitation to all citizens to witness the Ravana Dahan and embrace a renewed sense of social unity. The Ravana Dahan will be meaningful only if we pledge to burn hatred and discrimination along with it the committee explained.
