According to a complaint filed by Govardanan, 38, he was traveling from Karur when his vehicle was intercepted at Kollapatti Pass. A group of six individuals, armed with weapons, allegedly damaged his car and absconded with ₹2 lakh in cash.

Superintendent of Police Pradeep immediately launched an investigation, forming a special team led by Inspector Needikumar.
