Fri Sep 19 14:40:00 UTC 2025: **Alfa Romeo Recalls Nearly 3,300 Vehicles in Canada Over Fuel Pump Issue**

**TORONTO, ON -** Alfa Romeo is recalling approximately 3,289 Giulia sedans (2017-2019) and Stelvio SUVs (2018-2019) in Canada due to a potential fuel pump defect. The recall also affects 53,849 vehicles in the United States.

The automaker believes that a small percentage of the recalled vehicles may have fuel pumps with components susceptible to heat damage, potentially leading to pump failure. A failing fuel pump could starve the engine of fuel, causing a sudden loss of power and increasing the risk of an accident.

Alfa Romeo parent company Stellantis has reported that the issue has already led to five collisions and three injuries in the U.S.

While a solution is not yet available, Stellantis plans to notify affected owners by late October regarding the next steps for corrective action.

The Transport Canada recall code is 2025-463, and the manufacturer’s internal code is 93C. Owners are advised to monitor for notifications from Alfa Romeo and take appropriate action upon receiving instructions.
