**Animated Blockbuster “Mahavatar Narsimha” Heads to Netflix After Record-Breaking Theatrical Run**
**Mumbai, September 18, 2025** – Ashwin Kumar’s animated film “Mahavatar Narsimha,” the first installment in his ambitious “Mahavatar” series, is set to premiere on Netflix on September 19th at 12:30 PM (IST). This announcement comes after a phenomenal 50-day theatrical run, during which the film grossed an estimated Rs 325 crore worldwide.
Released on July 25th in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and Malayalam, “Mahavatar Narsimha” captivated audiences with its stunning animation and compelling portrayal of Lord Vishnu’s fourth incarnation. The Hindi version proved to be a massive hit, with the Telugu and Kannada versions also performing strongly.
Writer-director Ashwin Kumar, who chose to begin the series with Narsimha due to the story’s potential for a longer format, is already planning the next installment, “Mahavatar Parshuram,” slated for a theatrical release in 2027. The success of “Mahavatar Narsimha” has provided Kumar with the resources to expedite the production process for future films, while maintaining the animation format to deliver a world-class cinematic experience.
“Mahavatar Narsimha” will be available on Netflix in all five languages from September 19th. The film is produced by Ashwin Kumar, in association with the makers of KGF and Kantara.
