**”High Potential” Returns for Season 2 with More Episodes, New Mysteries, and Familiar Faces**

LOS ANGELES, CA – September 9, 2025 – The hit ABC dramedy “High Potential,” starring Kaitlin Olson as the brilliant but unconventional LAPD consultant Morgan Gill, is set to return for its second season on September 16th. Following a successful freshman run that captivated nearly 30 million viewers, the series promises a bigger, bolder season filled with intriguing cases and deeper character explorations.

Based on the French series “Haut Potentiel Intellectuel,” “High Potential” follows Morgan, a single mom with a genius-level IQ who initially works as a cleaner for the LAPD. Her unique crime-solving abilities catch the eye of Detective Adam Karadec (Daniel Sunjata), leading her to join the team as a consultant. Season 2 will pick up on the cliffhangers left at the end of the first season, including the threat of a serial killer targeting Morgan’s family and the revelation that her long-lost ex-husband is still alive.

Showrunner Todd Harthan assures viewers that the new season will deliver on these storylines early on, promising “answers” to avoid frustrating the audience. Harthan emphasized the focus on delving deeper into the lives of the existing characters.

“High Potential” Season 2 boasts an extended episode order of 18 episodes, a significant increase from its 13-episode first season. This expanded run will allow the series to dedicate more time to developing its ensemble cast. The show will add Mekhi Phifer and Steve Howey to the already existing cast.

“High Potential” Season 2 premieres September 16th on ABC. Episodes will air weekly on Tuesdays at 10 p.m. ET/PT and will be available to stream on Hulu the following day. The complete first season is also available on Hulu.
