Tue Sep 16 03:50:00 UTC 2025: ## “Tonight Show” Rocks Detroit: Fallon Praises City’s Food, Vibes, and the Lions
**DETROIT – September 15, 2025** – Jimmy Fallon brought “The Tonight Show” to Detroit, taping a special episode at the historic Detroit Opera House on Sunday. Fallon expressed his enthusiasm for the city, its vibrant atmosphere, and of course, the Detroit Lions, during a press conference overlooking the city.
“The energy here is crazy. This whole town is buzzing,” Fallon exclaimed, riding the wave of excitement after the Lions’ dominant 52-21 victory over the Chicago Bears. He even jokingly predicted the Lions would win.
Fallon wasted no time immersing himself in Detroit’s culinary scene, raving about a burger from Miller’s Bar in Dearborn and a Detroit-style pizza from Buddy’s. “Detroit, you got some nice, great food, great, great people, great vibes out there, I want to move here,” he declared.
The Detroit visit was made possible through a partnership with Ford Motor Company. “This is a love letter to Detroit,” Fallon said, “If you haven’t been to Detroit in a while, come to Detroit, you’re going to freak out how beautiful it is.”
Monday’s episode features Keegan-Michael Key, Detroit Pistons star Cade Cunningham, and musical guests Common with The Roots and Bilal. Fallon hinted at surprises, including pre-taped segments with the Detroit Lions.
Fallon plans to return to Detroit soon, hopefully bringing his family to experience the city’s charm. “Go Lions!” he exclaimed.
