**Kochi Metro’s Prepaid Card Glitch Resolved, Services Back to Normal**

**KOCHI, INDIA – September 15, 2025 (12:10 am IST)** – A technical glitch that temporarily disrupted Kochi-1 prepaid card services on the Kochi Metro has been successfully resolved. According to Kochi Metro Rail officials, the issue was rectified by Sunday morning, September 14, 2025.

The disruption, which occurred prior to Sunday, led to the activation of manual ticket-issuance counters across all metro stations. During the period of the glitch, passengers who presented their Kochi-1 cards were still able to avail of the standard discounts, including 20% on single-journey tickets and 25% and 33% on trip passes.

Metro officials have confirmed that all Kochi-1 card services are now functioning normally. Commuters can once again utilize their prepaid cards for seamless and discounted travel on the Kochi Metro.
