**Netflix Renews “The Hunting Wives” for a Second Season of Obsession and Murder in Maple Brook**

**LOS ANGELES, CA** – Get ready to return to the dangerous and seductive world of Maple Brook! Netflix has officially renewed the hit series “The Hunting Wives,” starring Brittany Snow and Malin Akerman, for a second season. The announcement was made via an Instagram video featuring the show’s leading ladies.

Based on May Cobb’s bestselling 2021 novel, “The Hunting Wives” follows Sophie O’Neil (Snow), a woman who relocates from Boston to the seemingly idyllic East Texas town of Maple Brook. There, she becomes entangled with charismatic socialite Margo Banks (Akerman) and plunges into a world of obsession, seduction, and deadly secrets.

Season 2, developed with an original script, will continue the storyline of the original characters. The logline reveals a fractured relationship between Sophie and Margo, stating: “At the start of season 2, Sophie and Margo are on the outs. But soon enough, old secrets and new foes force them back together. As they play their dangerous games the question arises. Are they the hunters or the hunted?”

Showrunner Rebecca Cutter expressed her enthusiasm, saying, “I can’t wait to take the audience on another sexy, twisted, bats— crazy ride through Maple Brook.”

Season 1 of “The Hunting Wives” was released on July 21st and quickly became a global phenomenon, spending five weeks on Netflix’s Global English Top 10 TV List and garnering over 20 million views.

The series, produced by Lionsgate Television and 3 Arts Entertainment, also stars Dermot Mulroney, Jaime Ray Newman, Evan Jonigkeit, and George Ferrier.

Stay tuned for further updates, including the release date, of the second season of “The Hunting Wwives”.
