**Los Angeles, CA -** The Akron Zips (0-2) will travel to Protective Stadium this Saturday to face the UAB Blazers (1-1) in a Week 3 college football showdown. The Zips are desperate for a win after being outscored a combined 78-0 in their first two games.

Akron’s offense has struggled mightily, failing to score a single touchdown this season. Quarterback Ben Finley has thrown for just 193 yards with no touchdowns and one interception. Running back Sean Patrick has shown flashes of potential, but the team’s overall offensive output is concerning. Their defense hasn’t fared much better, allowing over 700 yards in both of their previous games.

UAB is coming off a 38-24 loss to Navy, but their offense has shown promise. Quarterback Jalen Kitna has amassed 551 passing yards and four touchdowns. Receiver Corri Milliner leads the team with 198 receiving yards. While the Blazers’ offense is averaging a respectable 466.5 yards per game (ranking 31st nationally), their defense has been porous, allowing 488.5 yards per game (ranking 131st nationally).

The game promises to be a crucial test for both teams. Akron needs to find a way to ignite their offense, while UAB will look to shore up their defense to secure a victory.
