Sat Sep 13 10:04:23 UTC 2025: ## News Article: House Helps Arrested in Jharkhand for Hyderabad Housewife Murder

**Hyderabad, September 13, 2025 (The Hindu)** – Cyberabad police have arrested two domestic helpers and an accomplice in connection with the murder of a 50-year-old housewife, Renuka Agarwal, at Swan Lake Apartments in Kukatpally earlier this week.

The accused, Harsh Kumar, 20, and Roshan Singh, 22, both employed as house helps in the apartment complex, were apprehended in Ranchi, Jharkhand, along with Raju Varma, 19, who allegedly provided them shelter after the crime.

According to police investigators, Harsh, who worked in the Agarwal household, and Roshan, employed in another apartment, conspired to rob the family after observing their daily routines. On the morning of September 10th, after Renuka Agarwal’s husband and son left for business, the duo allegedly entered the flat, restrained her, and fatally slit her throat before fleeing with gold ornaments, “rold-gold” items, cash, watches, and other valuables.

The suspects then fled to Ranchi, where Raju Varma provided them with refuge.

“Based on CCTV footage and technical evidence, four police teams tracked them down in Jharkhand,” said a Cyberabad police spokesperson. “All three have confessed to the crime and a significant amount of stolen property has been recovered, including gold ornaments, 16 watches, two mobile phones, and the victim’s house key.”

Police also revealed that Roshan Singh has a prior criminal record in Ranchi, including previous charges of assault and theft.

The arrested individuals are currently being produced before a court in Jharkhand for a transit warrant, paving the way for their transfer to Hyderabad for further investigation.
