Tulsa, OK – Saraya, formerly known as Paige in WWE, has expressed a strong desire to return to in-ring action after overcoming a career-threatening neck injury. The former WWE Divas and AEW Women’s World Champion, now a free agent, revealed her intentions during an interview on Busted Open Radio.

Saraya, who made a memorable debut in WWE by winning the Divas Championship on her first night in 2014, saw her WWE career cut short due to neck issues, forcing her retirement in 2018. She later revitalized her career in AEW, even capturing the AEW Women’s World Championship in 2023.

“I feel like I have done a lot for women’s wrestling,” Saraya stated, noting that her neck is now healthy. “I want to start training again. I want to get in the ring and bring back the Paige that I was in NXT.”

The wrestler credited AJ Lee, who recently returned to WWE herself, for taking her under her wing in WWE and now the fan reaction to AJ’s return made her emotional.

She also emphasized her commitment to rigorous training, stating she intends to spend a month training in The Dungeon, mentored by fellow wrestler Natalya Neidhart. “I want to get my cardio back and get the ring rust off. I found my love for it again.”

Saraya promised fans they would be surprised by what she is capable of. With her health improved and a renewed passion for wrestling, Saraya’s potential return is generating considerable excitement among fans.
