Sat Sep 13 00:00:00 UTC 2025: ## Judge Blasts Past DiMaggio on Yankees Home Run List in Fenway Blast
**BOSTON -** Aaron Judge etched his name further into Yankees lore Thursday night, launching his 362nd career home run over Fenway Park’s Green Monster to surpass Joe DiMaggio (361) for sole possession of fourth place on the franchise’s all-time home run list. The towering blast, a 468-foot shot off Red Sox pitcher Lucas Giolito with an exit velocity of 112.6 mph, helped power the Yankees to a 9-3 victory.
Judge, currently having a busy week, has also moved past Yogi Berra (358) on the list. Only Babe Ruth (659), Mickey Mantle (536), and Lou Gehrig (493) remain ahead of the Yankees captain in the record books.
“Just two legends, greats of the game, great all-time Yankees,” Judge said of surpassing DiMaggio and Berra. “It’s pretty cool being on a list with them, but I think it’s even cooler getting a win.”
The home run, Judge’s 47th of the season, also marked his 19th first-inning homer of the year, setting a new single-season record for the Yankees, surpassing the previous mark he shared with Alex Rodriguez. Since 2024, over a third of Judge’s home runs have come in the very first inning, proving his readiness at the start of the game. This accomplishment also makes him the record holder for most home runs as a right handed batter in the team.
