**Bengaluru, September 11, 2025 (The Hindu)** – Bengaluru police are investigating two separate murder cases that occurred this week, leaving the city on edge.
The first case involves a deadly love triangle. A 21-year-old man, identified as Jeevan, was allegedly stabbed to death by his friend, Kiran, following a heated argument in Jayanagar on Wednesday. According to police reports, the dispute arose from a past relationship between Jeevan and a woman named Divya. After Jeevan and Divya broke up, Divya started dating Kiran, who was a friend of Jeevan. Jeevan became enraged when Divya posted pictures with Kiran, and demanded Divya return his gifts. Divya and Kiran went to Jayanagar to return Jeevan’s gifts, which led to an argument and fight where Kiran allegedly stabbed Jeevan.
Jeevan, who worked as a delivery staff for an online portal, was rushed to the hospital by passersby but succumbed to his injuries. Kiran, employed as sales staff at a showroom, was also injured in the scuffle and is currently receiving treatment at a local hospital. Police have filed a murder case based on a complaint from Jeevan’s family and are awaiting Kiran’s recovery to make an arrest. Divya has been detained and her statement recorded to determine the facts surrounding the incident.
In a separate incident, police are investigating the murder of an unidentified man in Kumbalagodu Police Station limits. A neighbor discovered the body of a man, estimated to be around 40 years old, at a vacant site in Kempegowda Layout on Thursday. The victim displayed multiple injuries to the face and had been strangled with a rope. A case of murder has been registered, and police are working to identify the victim and determine the circumstances surrounding his death.
These incidents highlight the increasing concern for safety within Bengaluru and underscore the need for continued vigilance from law enforcement.
