Fri Sep 12 06:52:31 UTC 2025: **Conservative Activist Charlie Kirk Murdered: Manhunt Intensifies, FBI Seeks Public’s Help**

**OREM, Utah** – A massive manhunt is underway following the fatal shooting of prominent conservative activist Charlie Kirk, 31, on Wednesday at Utah Valley University (UVU). Authorities are urging the public to assist in identifying a “person of interest” captured in newly released photographs and video footage.

Kirk, known for his influence in revitalizing the conservative youth vote and aiding Donald Trump’s presidential campaign, was shot while addressing a crowd of over 3,000 people at a UVU event. He succumbed to his injuries shortly after being transported to a local hospital.

Investigators have released images and video of a white male suspect, seen fleeing across a university rooftop believed to be the location from which the fatal shot was fired. The suspect is described as wearing Converse sneakers, jeans, a long-sleeved black t-shirt featuring a US flag and eagle design, and a black baseball cap with a triangle symbol.

“We need as much help as we can possibly get,” said Utah Governor Spencer Cox at a press conference, alongside FBI Director Kash Patel. Cox emphasized the vital role of public assistance in solving the case.

Authorities have recovered a bolt-action rifle in a nearby wooded area, suspected to be the murder weapon. The rifle, described by the FBI as a high-powered Mauser .30-06, is currently undergoing forensic analysis. Disturbingly, reports indicate the rifle and unfired rounds of ammunition contained engravings referencing transgender and antifascist ideology.

Investigators have also found a palm print and a shoe impression on the rooftop, which are being analyzed.

The FBI has offered a reward of up to $100,000 for information leading to the identification and arrest of the person(s) responsible for Kirk’s death. Governor Cox has pledged to pursue the death penalty should the attacker be found and convicted.

Authorities have received over 7,000 tips so far. The public is urged to submit any relevant photos, videos, or information to the FBI immediately.
