Fri Sep 12 11:20:00 UTC 2025: **Edward Enninful Launches New Magazine Venture After British Vogue Exit**

**LONDON** – Edward Enninful, the groundbreaking former editor-in-chief of British Vogue, is embarking on a new chapter with the launch of his own media and entertainment company, EE72, anchored by a print magazine titled “72”. This move comes after his celebrated six-year tenure at Vogue, which concluded with a star-studded March 2024 farewell cover featuring 40 influential women.

Enninful, who previously revitalized British Vogue by championing diversity and inclusion, described his departure as a “now or never” moment, stating he felt compelled to pursue his own creative vision as he approached his 50th birthday. He dismissed any rumors of a rift with Vogue’s global editorial director, Anna Wintour.

The launch of “72” is a bold move in a challenging media landscape where print publications are struggling. The magazine’s first issue notably eschews traditional advertising, opting instead for a brand partnership model across its website, print edition, and “experiential” events. Enninful’s goal is to create a “love story to creativity” and a new model that keeps them “creatively free”.

While he won’t serve as editor-in-chief, Enninful has tapped his former Vogue deputy, Sarah Harris, as editorial director. The first issue features actress Julia Roberts on the cover, interviewed by George Clooney, with stories celebrating diversity and a wide range of creative pursuits.

Despite some initial criticism of the cover, Enninful is receiving support from industry colleagues and a dedicated team who believe in his vision. “Everyone talks about inclusivity and diversity, but I think he really did pioneer that change,” said Harris. The new venture focuses on the values of inclusivity and mentorship.

Enninful’s commitment to diversity and his innovative approach to media have positioned him as a potential force in shaping the future of fashion publishing.
