Fri Sep 12 03:20:00 UTC 2025: ## Gen V Season 2 Promises Trauma, Intrigue, and Homelander’s America

**Godolkin University is about to get even bloodier as *Gen V* returns for its sophomore season, picking up the pieces after a brutal freshman year and diving headfirst into the politically charged landscape of *The Boys*.**

After the harrowing events of Season 1, including imprisonment in the supe rehabilitation center Elmira, the core group of young heroes, including Marie Moreau (Jaz Sinclair), Emma Meyer (Lizze Broadway), and Jordan Li (London Thor and Derek Luh), are back at God U. But the experience has left deep scars.

“Everyone starts in a completely different place,” teases executive producer Michele Fazekas, with Eric Kripke adding, “They’ve had a really rough year, and I think they’re dealing with a lot of trauma heading into this season.”

Their return is complicated by the actions of former allies Cate Dunlap (Maddie Phillips) and Sam Riordon (Asa Germann), who unleashed the supes from The Woods and went on a deadly rampage targeting humans. The tension is palpable as the students grapple with the moral implications of saving supe-kind through violence.

Season 2 will also explore the new world order established by Homelander in *The Boys* Season 4. “This is really the audience’s first glimpse for fans of what that new world looks like,” explains Kripke.

Adding to the chaos, Starlight (Erin Moriarty) tasks Marie with investigating “Project Odessa,” a shadowy initiative revived by Vought. Marie, wary of Starlight’s motives, is further challenged by the arrival of Dean Cipher (Hamish Linklater), a cryptic and potentially dangerous figure aligned with Homelander. Kripke delights in Hamish’s role by stating “Every single line [Linklater delivers] is so funny, and weird, and unexpected. He keeps you on your heels every single second.”

Project Odessa, the original purpose of Godolkin University established by its founder Thomas Godolkin, will be a central mystery. Viewers will get a glimpse into the 1960s through a flashback as the heroes investigate the university’s foundation.

Adding a somber note, the season will honor the memory of Chance Perdomo, who tragically passed away before production began. His character, Andre Anderson, will be remembered as a hero, and his absence will be felt throughout the season.

*Gen V* Season 2 premieres Wednesday, September 17 on Prime Video.
