**OREM, Utah** – The FBI has released images of a person of interest in the fatal shooting of conservative activist Charlie Kirk at Utah Valley University on Wednesday. A $100,000 reward is being offered for information leading to the identification and arrest of the individual responsible.

Authorities believe the suspect, described as appearing to be of college age, fled into a nearby neighborhood after the shooting. A high-powered rifle was recovered from a wooded area near the campus, along with footwear and forearm imprints.

The killing has sent shockwaves across the political landscape, raising security concerns and prompting cancellations and adjustments to public appearances. Several historically Black colleges and universities (HBCUs) have cancelled activities due to potential threats, and politicians, including President Trump, are modifying their schedules for safety reasons.

President Trump announced he will posthumously award Kirk the Presidential Medal of Freedom. Vice President JD Vance is transporting Kirk’s body to Arizona on Air Force Two.

The motive for the shooting remains unknown, and the FBI is urging anyone with information to come forward.
