Thu Sep 11 03:45:16 UTC 2025: **Trump Blames “Radical Left” for Charlie Kirk’s Assassination, Pledges Crackdown on Political Violence**

**[City, State]** – Following the fatal shooting of conservative activist Charlie Kirk at Utah Valley University on Wednesday, former President Donald Trump has condemned the act as a “heinous and dark moment for America” and squarely blamed the “radical left” for contributing to his death.

In a video posted on his Truth Social platform, Trump hailed Kirk as a “martyr for truth” and asserted that the rhetoric of the left, which he claims has likened conservatives to Nazis and other criminals, is directly responsible for political violence in the country.

“For years, those on the radical left have compared wonderful Americans like Charlie to Nazis and the world’s worst mass murderers and criminals,” Trump stated.

He cited past attacks, including an attack on himself in Butler, Pennsylvania, an incident involving ICE agents, the shooting of House Majority Leader Steve Scalise, and the murder of a healthcare executive, as examples of radical left political violence.

Trump pledged a strong crackdown on those involved in political violence, including the organizations that fund and support it. “My administration will find each and every one of those who contributed to this atrocity and to other political violence, including the organizations that fund it and support it, as well as those who go after our judges, law enforcement officials, and everyone else who brings order to our country,” he said.

Kirk, co-founder of the conservative youth organization Turning Point USA and a close ally of Trump, was shot while addressing a large crowd at Utah Valley University. Authorities believe the fatal shot came from a rooftop, fired by an individual dressed in black, indicating a targeted assassination. As of Wednesday night, no one was in custody.

The shooting occurs amidst a reported increase in attacks on political figures across the ideological spectrum. Trump ended his statement by calling on Americans to commit themselves to the values of free speech, citizenship, and the rule of law, “for which Charlie Kirk lived and died.”
