**Amaravati Quantum Valley Hackathon Ignites Student Innovation in Quantum Technologies**

**VIJAYAWADA, September 11, 2025:** The semi-final rounds of the ‘Amaravati Quantum Valley Hackathon (AQVH) 2025’, a nationwide initiative aimed at fostering student-driven innovation in quantum technologies, concluded successfully across five campuses in Andhra Pradesh. Spearheaded by the Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education (APSCHE), the hackathon is positioning Amaravati as a future hub for deep-tech solutions in critical sectors like Defence, logistics, drug discovery, agriculture, and finance.

The initiative, backed by leading organizations including DST, IBM, TCS, Google, and Microsoft, challenged 293 teams comprising 1,758 students from across India to tackle ten real-world problem statements sourced from Ministries, government departments, PSUs, tech giants, and NGOs. Students engaged in intense learning, brainstorming, boot camps, and internal hackathons to develop innovative solutions, with some teams even creating working prototypes.

Organizers stated that the AQVH 2025 aims to empower students and ensure India has a robust pool of quantum technology innovators ready to contribute when the 156-qubit IBM Quantum Machine is commissioned at the Amaravati Quantum Valley. The hackathon is seen as a talent magnet and a launchpad for transformative ideas that could reshape industries and transform lives.
