**Vijayawada, September 7, 2025** – The Andhra Pradesh Public Service Commission (APPSC) successfully conducted preliminary examinations on Sunday for recruitment to the positions of Forest Beat Officer, Assistant Beat Officer, and Forest Section Officer. The offline OMR-based exams were held across the erstwhile 13 district centers in the state.
According to APPSC Secretary P. Raja Babu, the Forest Beat Officer exam saw strong participation. “Out of 1,17,958 applicants, 97,038 candidates appeared for the exam, resulting in an impressive attendance rate of 89.87%,” he stated. The Forest Section Officer exam also had a solid turnout, with 15,412 candidates participating out of 19,568 applicants, marking an attendance rate of 86.46%.
APPSC Chairperson A.R. Anuradha, along with Secretary Raja Babu and other members, personally visited several district centers to oversee the examination process and ensure its smooth and fair conduct. Mr. Raja Babu was spotted inspecting the proceedings at K.B.N. College in Vijayawada.
