**NEW YORK, NY – August 16, 2024** – ABC News Studios today announced the third season of its hit true-crime docuseries, “Betrayal,” titled “Betrayal: Under His Eye,” will begin streaming exclusively on Hulu and Hulu on Disney+ on Tuesday, September 2nd. Based on the #1 true-crime podcast, this season delves into the disturbing story of Stacey, a single mother whose seemingly perfect romance with Dr. Justin Rutherford quickly spirals into a terrifying ordeal of betrayal and manipulation.

“Betrayal: Under His Eye” chronicles Stacey’s journey from a whirlwind romance to the discovery of hidden cameras in her home, unveiling dark secrets and shattering her family’s sense of security. The series follows Rutherford’s eventual arrest and the family’s difficult path toward healing. However, just as they begin to rebuild their lives, a shocking new accusation surfaces: Rutherford is accused of plotting murder to silence a key witness in the case.
