Fri Sep 05 05:00:00 UTC 2025: **Headline: Lady Gaga Haunts ‘Wednesday’ Season Two as Ghostly Raven; Costume Designers Detail Gala’s 18th-Century Extravaganza**

Los Angeles, CA – Lady Gaga’s highly anticipated appearance in the second part of “Wednesday” season two on Netflix has been revealed. The pop icon portrays Rosaline Rotwood, a Raven alumna and former teacher at Nevermore Academy, whose spectral presence guides Wednesday Addams (Jenna Ortega) on her journey. Costume designers Mark Sutherland and Colleen Atwood detail that Rotwood’s look takes inspiration from the 1930’s and Raven aesthetic, from the feather edging to the light veil over the top of it.

In episode six, Gaga also released her new song, “The Dead Dance,” alongside a Tim Burton-directed music video Wednesday morning.

The show’s costume designers emphasized Gaga’s dedication to the character, noting her commitment to shedding her public persona to fully embody the role of Rotwood.

A major fashion highlight arrives in episode seven with Nevermore’s elaborate fundraising gala. The Addams family and other cast members don 18th-century-inspired attire for the Venetian-themed event, with Principal Dort (Steve Buscemi) and Grandmama Hester Frump (Joanna Lumley) making a grand entrance by gondola.

Atwood explains that preparations for the gala costumes began early in the season, blending vintage inspiration with modern sensibilities. Standout outfits include Pugsley’s jester costume and the Addams family’s striking ensemble as they descend the staircase. Catherine Zeta-Jones stuns as Morticia in a black gown with gold accents, while Luis Guzmán’s Gomez sports an intricately embroidered coat.

Atwood said that Jenna Ortega’s anti-ball gown vibe made the special. Gwendoline Christie’s towering presence in a bell-sleeved gown with a vintage mask also made the special. Evie Templeton in an emerald dress was perfect for the character’s red hair, but not pastel.

The designers aim to elevate the world of “Wednesday,” making it bigger and relatable. Sutherland emphasizes the importance of modernizing the Addams family, ensuring their characters resonate with contemporary audiences, particularly through Wednesday and Enid’s fashion choices.

“Wednesday” season two, Part 2, is now available for streaming on Netflix.
