Thu Sep 04 00:20:00 UTC 2025: ## Chiefs Partner with YouTube for Brazil Kickoff Game, Bringing NFL Action to a Global Audience

**KANSAS CITY, Mo. –** The Kansas City Chiefs are amplifying their international presence, announcing a partnership with YouTube as the presenting partner for their 2025 season kickoff campaign culminating in a Week 1 matchup against the Los Angeles Chargers in São Paulo, Brazil. The historic game, scheduled for a 7 p.m. CT kickoff on September 5th, will stream for free globally on YouTube and on YouTube TV in the U.S.

“We’re thrilled to team up with YouTube as the presenting partner of our season kickoff campaign,” said Chiefs President Mark Donovan. “This partnership not only highlights the excitement of opening the season in Brazil but also allows us to connect with fans globally through a platform that’s transforming how people experience live sports.”

YouTube’s involvement extends beyond the game itself. The platform will present Kansas City’s second preseason game against Seattle on August 15th, as well as the “Up The Hill” content series filmed during Chiefs Training Camp. As part of the deal, YouTube receives significant digital assets and content opportunities to promote the inaugural NFL game streaming free on its platform.

“From Kansas City to São Paulo, Chiefs Kingdom is a passionate, global fanbase and we’re excited to give their season kickoff an international stage,” said Wes Harris, Director of Connected TV Marketing at YouTube. “This is more than a game; it’s the future of football, and it’s open for everyone around the world to enjoy for free on YouTube.”

The Chiefs are going all-in on the Brazil experience. Leading up to the game, the team will host “Chiefs House,” a two-day fan event in São Paulo featuring live entertainment, Chiefs Legends, cheerleader performances, exclusive merchandise, Kansas City BBQ, and official watch parties. The team will also bring their “Red Friday” tradition to Brazil, celebrating with fans while supporting local charities.

While kickoff in Brazil marks a significant moment, the Chiefs will return home to Kansas City to face the Philadelphia Eagles in a Super Bowl LIX rematch on September 14th at GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium.

Fans can also follow the Chiefs’ journey through the “The Kingdom” series on ESPN and new episodes of “The Franchise” on the Chiefs’ official YouTube channel.

Details regarding player injuries for the Chiefs Week 1 game against the Chargers are still emerging. Patrick Mahomes earned a top 10 ranking for the seventh consecutive year. The partnership with YouTube underscores the NFL’s continued push to broaden its audience through digital platforms and international expansion.
