Thu Sep 04 02:40:00 UTC 2025: ## Giants’ Power Surge Propels Them to .500, Trounce Rockies

**DENVER** – The San Francisco Giants are experiencing a sudden surge in power, blasting their way to an 8-2 victory over the Colorado Rockies at Coors Field on Monday. The win, fueled by home runs from Rafael Devers, Drew Gilbert, and Willy Adames, marks the team’s 15th consecutive game with a home run, a feat not achieved since 2001.

With this victory, the Giants (69-69) have climbed back to .500 for the first time since August 10, winning eight of their last nine games. After struggling to consistently score runs for much of the season, the Giants’ offense has exploded, plating 69 runs in their recent hot streak.

Rafael Devers ignited the scoring in the first inning with a 411-foot home run, clocked at a blistering 114.5 mph, making it the hardest-hit home run by a Giant since Statcast tracking began in 2015. “He’s a run producer, and we’re seeing why we made the trade,” said manager Bob Melvin. “He’s a big part of why our offense is clicking right now.”

Rookie outfielder Drew Gilbert had a career day, going 4-for-4 and launching a two-run homer in the third. The home run was made even sweeter as it came off of his former college teammate at Tennessee, Rockies pitcher Chase Dollander. “It’s always fun when you’re friends with someone and you get to compete against him,” Gilbert said.

Willy Adames capped off the offensive display with a two-run shot in the seventh, his 26th of the season. He is now four home runs shy of becoming the first Giant to hit 30 in a single season since Barry Bonds in 2004.

On the mound, Kai-Wei Teng earned the win, striking out eight and allowing two runs over 5 1/3 innings. The Giants look to continue their hot streak as they enter the final month of the regular season, fueled by a potent offense and a newfound sense of energy.
