Wed Sep 03 02:00:00 UTC 2025: ## Caitlin Clark Out with Groin Injury; Fever Face Mercury Without Star Guard

**INDIANAPOLIS** – Indiana Fever fans will be without star guard Caitlin Clark when they face the Phoenix Mercury this Tuesday, Sept. 2. Clark suffered a groin injury during the Fever’s 85-77 victory against the Connecticut Sun on July 15. She felt discomfort after dishing out a bounce-pass assist to Kelsey Mitchell with approximately 30 seconds remaining in the game.

Fever coach Stephanie White confirmed postgame that the training staff was evaluating Clark’s right groin. Clark, who finished the game with 14 points, eight rebounds, seven assists, and one steal, will now miss her 27th game of the season.

This marks the fourth separate muscle injury for Clark in her sophomore campaign. The injuries are a stark contrast to her collegiate career at Iowa and her rookie season in the WNBA, where she maintained a near-perfect attendance record. Clark entered the season as a betting favorite for league MVP.

For fans wanting to catch the Fever without Clark, the game against the Mercury will be available to stream on FUBO, which offers a free trial to new subscribers. The game will also be available on Amazon League Pass after completion.
