Revanth Reddy today reaffirmed his government’s commitment to eradicating poverty and providing dignified housing for the poor through the revitalized Indiramma housing program. Speaking at a housewarming ceremony in Bendalapadu village, Chandrugonda mandal, the Chief Minister emphasized the Congress government’s dedication to fulfilling the housing dreams of all eligible beneficiaries.

“Indira Gandhi endeared herself to the poor people by implementing pro-poor schemes to eradicate poverty, and the Congress government is steadfastly implementing the Indiramma housing programme in Telangana to fulfill housing dreams of all eligible poor people to live with self-respect,” Reddy stated.

The event celebrated the completion of over 70 Indiramma houses in Bendalapadu village, out of a total of 312 sanctioned. Minister for Revenue, Housing and Information & Public Relations Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy and other key officials were present.

Addressing a public meeting in Damaracherla village later, Reddy highlighted the Congress party’s historical commitment to housing, recalling the 2.5 million houses built between 2004 and 2014 under the leadership of Dr. Y.S. Rajasekhar Reddy. He sharply criticized the previous BRS government, accusing them of neglecting the housing needs of the state’s most vulnerable citizens for nearly a decade.
