**Giants Power Past Rockies, Continue Playoff Push**
**DENVER, CO** – The San Francisco Giants continued their late-season surge Monday night, defeating the Colorado Rockies 8-2 on the back of a potent offensive display. Rookie Drew Gilbert led the charge with a career-high four hits, including one of three Giants home runs.
Gilbert, who debuted earlier this month, has been on a tear, racking up seven hits in his last two games. He was joined by Rafael Devers and Willy Adames, who also contributed with solo homers. The Giants have won eight of their last nine games.
Kai-Wei Teng delivered a strong performance on the mound for San Francisco. Making a spot start in place of the injured Carson Whisenhunt, Teng pitched 5 1/3 innings, allowing two runs and striking out a career-best eight batters.
The Rockies struggled on both sides of the ball. Starting pitcher Chase Dollander had a rough outing, plunking two batters, walking three, and ultimately taking the loss. Yanquiel Fernández drove in a run for Colorado, but it wasn’t enough to overcome the Giants’ offensive onslaught.
The Giants’ victory extends their home run streak to 15 games, the longest in the majors this season.
Unfortunately, the win wasn’t without a setback for the Giants. Second baseman Casey Schmitt left the game after being hit by a pitch, suffering a bruised right elbow.
Looking ahead, the Giants will face the Rockies again on Tuesday night. Logan Webb will take the mound for San Francisco, while Kyle Freeland will pitch for Colorado.
