**Hollywood, CA** – Chi Lewis-Parry’s breakout performance as Samson, the monstrously hung zombie, in “28 Years Later” has cemented his place in horror movie history. And fans of the flesh-eating fiend will be pleased to know he’s back for more in the upcoming sequel, “28 Years Later: The Bone Temple,” set to release on January 16, 2026.
Despite sharing the screen with acclaimed actors like Ralph Fiennes and Jodie Comer in the previous film, it was Lewis-Parry’s grunting, screaming, and head-decapitating performance that stole the show. Director Nia DaCosta has revealed that the twisted relationship between Samson and Fiennes’ character, Dr. Kelson, will be a significant part of the new film. “We’ve seen Samson ripping people’s heads off,” DaCosta told Rolling Stone. “But Kelson’s a kook, and he’s doing what he wants to do.”
Adding to the chaos, “The Bone Temple” will delve further into the world introduced by Sir Jimmy Crystal (Jack O’Connell) and his gang, The Jimmies. Known for their gleeful dismemberment of the infected, The Jimmies are set on a collision course with Dr. Kelson and, potentially, Samson.
O’Connell describes the film as a “weird, deranged cousin” to its predecessor, promising questionable interests and surprising energy. DaCosta echoes this sentiment, emphasizing that while “The Bone Temple” will be violent and unconventional, it will continue the franchise’s exploration of humanity’s capacity for horror.
