Tue Sep 02 03:40:00 UTC 2025: ## Louisiana Lottery Sees Big Wins, Jackpot Chases Continue
**Baton Rouge, LA – August 31, 2025** – Louisiana Lottery players had a busy weekend, with significant prize opportunities in Powerball, Lotto, and Easy 5. While the massive $1.034 billion Powerball jackpot went unclaimed nationwide, Louisiana saw numerous winning tickets, including one worth $50,000.
Saturday night’s Powerball drawing, with numbers 03, 18, 22, 27, 33, and Powerball 17 (Power Play x3), resulted in no jackpot winner across the country. However, nine tickets nationwide matched five numbers, winning $1 million each, and three Power Play tickets matched five numbers, earning $2 million each. In Louisiana, a total of 19,808 tickets won prizes, with 8,950 including the Power Play option. The largest Louisiana Powerball win was $50,000, with the location of purchase to be released later today.
Despite the excitement, Louisiana’s Mega Millions drought continues. No one matched all the numbers in Friday’s $277 million (annuitized) or $124.6 million (cash value) jackpot. The largest prize won in the state was just $1,500.
The Louisiana Lotto also saw no jackpot winner for its $1.925 million prize. The jackpot will climb to $2 million for Wednesday’s drawing. Similarly, the Easy 5 jackpot of $100,000 went unclaimed, rolling over to an estimated $110,000 for the next drawing, also on Wednesday.
Powerball players will have another shot at a massive payday this Labor Day, Monday, with an estimated jackpot of $1.10 billion. Lottery officials anticipate the prize amount could climb even higher as Powerball fever takes hold.
The Louisiana Lottery reminds players to verify tickets on the official Lottery website. Lottery games involve the risk of losing money, and resources are available for those struggling with gambling problems. Call 1-877-770-STOP (7867) for free counseling referrals.
