**Chennai, India – September 2, 2025 -** A low pressure area has formed over the northwest Bay of Bengal, as of 5:30 a.m. today, according to the Regional Meteorological Centre in Chennai. The low pressure area is a result of an upper air cyclonic circulation over the northeast Bay of Bengal and the adjacent Myanmar coast.
