Mon Sep 01 21:00:00 UTC 2025: **Brewers Power Past Phillies in Labor Day Matinee**
**MILWAUKEE, WI -** The Milwaukee Brewers capped off a grueling 19-games-in-18-days stretch with a victory over the Philadelphia Phillies in a Labor Day matinee at American Family Field. The Brewers offense exploded early, leading the team to a win against the Phillies.
Brice Turang continued his hot hitting from August, launching a leadoff home run off Phillies starter Taijuan Walker. Turang’s 17th homer of the year, a 433-foot blast to center, ignited a three-run first inning for Milwaukee. Blake Perkins added to the damage with a two-out, two-run double, giving the Brewers an early lead. Caleb Durbin hit a home run to the left-field bleachers for his 10th of the season in the second.
Brewers’ starting pitcher Jacob Misiorowski (4-2, 4.33 ERA) cruised through four innings before running into trouble in the fifth. A walk and a single put runners on base, and Trea Turner capitalized with a two-run triple, cutting the Brewers’ lead. That would be the end of Misiorowski’s outing.
The Brewers (85-53) maintain their position atop the National League Central with a 6.5-game lead.
Prior to the game, the Brewers activated shortstop Joey Ortiz from the injured list and recalled reliever Craig Yoho as part of September roster expansions.
The series continues with games on Sept. 3 at 6:40 p.m. with Jose Quintana facing Aaron Nola, and Sept. 4 at 3:10 p.m. with Freddy Peralta against Ranger Suarez. All games will be broadcast on FanDuel Sports Wisconsin and AM-620 WTMJ.
