**MILWAUKEE, WI -** The Milwaukee Brewers capped off a grueling 19-games-in-18-days stretch with a victory over the Philadelphia Phillies in a Labor Day matinee at American Family Field. The Brewers offense exploded early, leading the team to a win against the Phillies.

Brice Turang continued his hot hitting from August, launching a leadoff home run off Phillies starter Taijuan Walker. Turang’s 17th homer of the year, a 433-foot blast to center, ignited a three-run first inning for Milwaukee. Blake Perkins added to the damage with a two-out, two-run double, giving the Brewers an early lead. Caleb Durbin hit a home run to the left-field bleachers for his 10th of the season in the second.

Brewers’ starting pitcher Jacob Misiorowski (4-2, 4.33 ERA) cruised through four innings before running into trouble in the fifth. A walk and a single put runners on base, and Trea Turner capitalized with a two-run triple, cutting the Brewers’ lead. That would be the end of Misiorowski’s outing.

The Brewers (85-53) maintain their position atop the National League Central with a 6.5-game lead.

Prior to the game, the Brewers activated shortstop Joey Ortiz from the injured list and recalled reliever Craig Yoho as part of September roster expansions.
