Mon Sep 01 08:20:00 UTC 2025: ## Wrestler Suffers “Severe Head Injuries” After On-Stage Assault by Rampage Jackson’s Son

**Sun Valley, CA -** Professional wrestler Stuart “Syko Stu” Smith is recovering from “severe head injuries” after being attacked in the ring on Saturday night by Raja Jackson, son of former UFC champion Quinton “Rampage” Jackson. The incident occurred during an event in Sun Valley, California, and was captured on video that quickly spread across social media.

Footage shows Jackson entering the ring during another match and violently throwing Smith to the ground. He then straddled Smith and repeatedly punched him in the face and head, even after Smith appeared to be motionless. Other wrestlers eventually intervened to restrain Jackson.

Smith’s brother, Andrew Smith, reported on Monday that his brother is conscious and has some memory of the event but faces a “difficult recovery.” He expressed gratitude for the outpouring of support Smith has received.

The wrestling organizer, KnokX, released a statement suggesting the incident began as a scripted segment but quickly escalated into an act of violence. “What was supposed to be a planned and agreed upon wrestling spot, turned into a selfish, irresponsible act of violence against Mr. Smith,” the statement read.

Rampage Jackson has publicly condemned his son’s actions, stating he does “not condone” what happened and that Raja was recently concussed and should not have been engaged in physical contact. “I apologize on his (Raja Jackson’s) behalf,” Jackson wrote. Video platform Kick has banned Raja Jackson’s account in response to the incident.

Smith’s wife, Contessa Patterson, has launched a fundraising campaign to help cover his medical expenses and loss of income. She highlighted that Smith is a U.S. Army veteran who uses wrestling as a way to cope with PTSD. As of this writing, the GoFundMe page has raised nearly $70,000.
