**Real Madrid Edges Past Mallorca, But Questions Remain Despite Victory**

**Madrid, Spain -** Real Madrid secured a narrow 2-1 victory over Mallorca at the Santiago Bernabéu on Saturday, maintaining their perfect start to the LaLiga season. However, despite the win, concerns linger about the team’s overall performance.

Mallorca took an early lead through Vedat Muriqi’s header, but Real Madrid responded quickly with goals from Arda Güler and Vinícius Júnior within a minute. Vinícius, returning to the starting lineup, continued his scoring form after netting a goal as a substitute last weekend.

“He performed well,” praised manager Xabi Alonso regarding Vinícius’s performance. “It was a better game for him than against Osasuna, and it was an important goal to put us in front… I’m happy with Vini’s game; he’s scoring goals, and that’s important.”

The match wasn’t without controversy, as Real Madrid had three goals disallowed by VAR, two for Kylian Mbappé (ruled offside) and one for Güler (involuntary handball). Alonso acknowledged the frustration, stating, “It would have been important to get the third goal.”

While pleased with the three wins to start the season, Alonso admitted there’s still work to be done. “We knew in these three games, after a mini preseason, it was important to compete, to keep improving things, defining the path we want,” he explained. “There are some good things, and some things to correct.”

Real Madrid now heads into the international break before resuming league play against Real Sociedad on September 13th. Following the break, they will face a challenging schedule that includes the Champions League, where they were drawn against Liverpool and Manchester City.
