**THIRUVANANTHAPURAM, September 1, 2025** – Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan has ordered immediate action to rehabilitate the 1,136 families currently residing in the Chengara land struggle area. The directive was issued during a meeting held on Monday, focusing on improving the living conditions of these families.

The Chief Minister instructed relevant ministers to collaborate with the Plantation Corporation, Farming Corporation, and other officials to implement necessary measures. A comprehensive plan is underway, including strengthening existing anganwadis to address childhood malnutrition, organizing regular medical camps, and ensuring the availability of essential medicines.

Several initiatives have already been launched, including the distribution of ration cards and Onam kits. Mobile ration shops will begin distributing food items next month, and the distribution of job cards is expected to be completed shortly. The government also plans to provide solar lamps to students, facilitating their studies. Addressing a crucial need, steps are being taken to ensure the availability of drinking water.
