Tue Aug 26 10:30:00 UTC 2025: ## Belichick Takes Center Stage in College Football: Hulu Docuseries to Chronicle UNC’s Season
**CHAPEL HILL, NC –** Bill Belichick is making his mark on college football, and the world will get to watch it unfold. The six-time Super Bowl-winning coach, now at the helm of the University of North Carolina (UNC) Tar Heels, announced on Sunday, August 24th, that a documentary series following the team’s season will be streamed on Hulu this fall.
The announcement, delivered during a team meeting and shared on the Tar Heels’ social media, reveals that EverWonder Studio will produce the series. Belichick emphasized the focus will be on the players’ hard work, dedication, and improvement throughout the season.
“It’s going to feature the players working hard, which you guys do,” Belichick told his team. “It’s about the players improving and getting better through their hard work, which you do… It’ll show our commitment to winning, it’ll show our commitment to the team, and that’s our priority.”
While Hulu has yet to officially confirm the series, Belichick clarified that it will be a season-long chronicle of the Tar Heels’ journey. This marks a shift from a previously anticipated appearance on HBO’s “Hard Knocks” preseason series, which reportedly fell through due to disagreements over involvement.
Belichick, 73, took over as UNC’s head coach on December 11, 2024, succeeding Mack Brown and signing a five-year, $50 million contract. This is his first foray into college football after a legendary career in the NFL.
The Tar Heels, coming off a 6-7 season and unranked in the preseason polls, are looking to make a statement under Belichick’s leadership. Their season kicks off on Monday, September 1st, at 8 p.m. ET against TCU. Fans eager to see Belichick’s influence on the program and the team’s progress will soon have a front-row seat on Hulu.
