The horrific incident occurred around 3:40 p.m. on a highway near Dedadara village in Wadhwan taluka. According to police reports, the car was en route to Surendranagar city from Kadu village when the collision occurred.

“All eight persons in the car were charred to death,” confirmed DIG Girish Pandya, Surendranagar. He added that three individuals in the SUV sustained minor injuries and were transported to a local hospital for treatment. The front of the SUV was reportedly severely damaged by the impact of the crash.

Eyewitnesses reported that the car immediately erupted in flames after landing in the ditch, preventing any attempts to rescue the occupants. Fire brigade personnel struggled to extinguish the blaze and recover the bodies.
