**Telangana Invests in Eco-Tourism with New “Eco-Ethnic Village”**

**MULUGU, August 18, 2025** – Minister Danasari Anasuya (Seethakka), the Panchayat Raj and Rural Development Minister, today laid the foundation stone for an “Eco-Ethnic Village” at Incherla village in Mulugu mandal, marking a significant step in boosting tourism and sustainable development in the region. The project is part of a larger initiative to develop the Ramappa region as a sustainable tourism circuit.

The Minister, along with Telangana State Tourism Development Corporation (TGTDC) Chairman Patel Ramesh Reddy, announced development projects worth ₹37 crore. These projects include the construction of a shopping complex and amphitheater along National Highway 163, enhancing the visitor experience. ₹13 crore will be allocated for island development works in Ramappa Lake, with future island projects planned for Laknavaram Lake.

“Several tourist sites in my constituency, including Ramappa, Laknavaram, Medaram Sammakka-Saralamma, Bogatha waterfall, and Blackberry Island, have already seen developmental works. The Eco-Ethnic Village was developed under Development of Ramappa region sustainable tourism circuit in Ramappa, Telangana under Special Assistance to States for Capital Investment (SASCI) by the TDTDC.” said Ms. Seethakka, highlighting the government’s commitment to the region’s growth. She also noted the acquisition of additional funds from the central government to further strengthen the area’s tourism infrastructure.

TGTDC Chairman Ramesh Reddy emphasized the state government’s vision to transform Mulugu into the most sought-after tourist destination in Telangana. The “Eco-Ethnic Village” project is a key component of this vision, aiming to promote sustainable tourism while preserving the region’s unique cultural heritage.
