**ICAI Holds Key Meeting in Pahalgam, Affirms Support for J&K’s Economic Revival**
**Pahalgam, J&K –** The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) convened its 445th Council Meeting in Pahalgam, Jammu & Kashmir, from August 12-14, demonstrating solidarity and commitment to the region’s economic development following the Baisaran incident. The event brought together over 40 high-level delegations, along with their families.
Chief Minister of J&K, Omar Abdullah, attended the meeting and expressed gratitude to ICAI for choosing Pahalgam, stating, “Your presence here sends a powerful message of hope and support for the people of J&K.” He further invited ICAI to collaborate with the state government to implement successful models for the region’s betterment.
ICAI President CA. Charanjot Singh Nanda emphasized the symbolic and strategic importance of holding the meeting in Pahalgam, highlighting ICAI’s commitment to J&K’s economic revival and tourism boost.
During the meeting, ICAI presented two research reports to the Chief Minister, focusing on strategies to strengthen MSMEs in J&K. The institute also announced plans to establish a Centre of Excellence in the region to drive research, innovation, and capacity building.
