**Sayin Impresses in Fall Camp, Compared to Haskins by Day**

**Columbus, OH** – Freshman quarterback Julian Sayin is turning heads at Ohio State fall camp, quickly exceeding expectations since transferring from Alabama following Nick Saban’s retirement. The former No. 1 quarterback prospect in the 2024 class has impressed coaches and media alike with his quick release, accuracy, and decision-making.

Sayin, who has added size and strength during the offseason, is currently competing with redshirt sophomore Lincoln Kienholz for the starting quarterback position. While the competition is ongoing, Sayin has reportedly outperformed Kienholz in early practices, connecting on several deep passes to Jeremiah Smith.

Head coach Ryan Day has been particularly impressed with Sayin’s progress, even drawing a comparison to former Ohio State star Dwayne Haskins. “Remember how quick the ball used to come out of Dwayne’s hands? It’s similar with Julian,” Day said.

Sayin remains focused on improving daily and developing his leadership skills. “I’m just focusing on improving and developing myself and being ready if my number is called,” Sayin stated.

The Buckeyes open their season against Texas in less than four weeks. While Sayin’s chances of starting are high, he’s remaining focused on improving and developing himself and being ready if his number is called.
